Eastside Voters Alliance Engages with Senior Classes: A Civics Presentation

On April 26, 2024, we had the opportunity to participate in a presentation for two senior-level classes at Bellevue High School as part of their civics class. It was an enriching experience to share our knowledge and engage with fellow students on important civic topics. Overall, it was a rewarding opportunity to contribute to our school community and promote civic awareness among them.

Eastside Voters Alliance Sponsors Chinatown-International District Voting and Vaccination Event for Community Seniors

EVA was a proud sponsor of a voter assistance and vaccination event for seniors in the Chinatown-International district on October 28th at the Chinatown International District Community Center.

In the past, Seniors in Action founder Nora Chan took charge organizing voting events for the seniors in the C-ID. Unfortunately, Ms. Chan’s health has deteriorated in the past year, so these events fell through the cracks. In the recent primary election, out of 1000 registered seniors, less than 200 voted. Community organizer Amy Chen Lozano hopes to revitalize these events starting with this voter assistance and vaccination event.

EVA’s sponsorship went towards purchasing food and t-shirts for all event attendees to enjoy.

The event was attended by about 300 seniors and was co-sponsored by ACRS and CISC.
